From her first showjumping competition at the age of nine, Connie Bull has been irrevocably hooked on the sport. She has always been the competitive type and knew from that age that riding was something she wished to do for the rest of her life. Connie is now a successful show jumping competitor and trainer. Her name is regularly amongst the top riders of each class she competes in and she has XX best result XX. Connie has made a career out of taking on horses and training them up to professional level. As an active person, an office life would never have suited her and Connie delights in the chance to ride full time. She has taken difficult horses and brought them, with skill and patience, to Grand Prix standard. Connie has been deeply inspired by her trainer, Torhild Hemmingby, someone that has faithfully kept her motivated and focused. Torhild was recently awarded trainer of the year. Connie believes that riding is a team effort: not only must there be a feeling of teamwork between rider and horse, but it´s important to always have a strong team around you to support and inspire you. Her advice to new riders would be to believe in her motto: “Never give up: One learns by making mistakes.
I´m very competitive. I can´t lose. I like to win. When I competed for the first time on a horse that was it- I knew I´d be riding the rest of my life!
